Changes in Travel

We just wanted to keep everyone up to date on the changes that have happened in the last couple of days.

Travel into the U.S.

Baggage regulations have eased a bit and you will now be able to take a carryon with you on the flight when you travel to the United States.  Please check direct with your carrier for specifics details.  There are still regulations in regards to size.

Air Canada – Baggage

Air Canada is now charging for the second bag for travel into the United States and Europe.  The fees are $30.00 for travel between Canada and U.S., including Hawaii and $50.00 for travel from Canada to Europe.  The 2nd bag fee does not apply to  Air Canada Super Elite, Elite, Prestige, Star Alliance Gold and Silver members.

Passport to Mexico

Effective 01Mar.2010, all Canadian citizens must have a passport to enter/depart Mexico.  So if you plan on travelling any time soon, you will need to get to the passport office.  Our advice is for everyone just to get a passport as you never know when regulations will change and you won’t be caught scrambling to get a passport.
